As at 08h00 this morning our position is:
27.59S
2.13E
We have started some westing with the South Atlantic High pulling back to the South.. We could possibly have made the move around 12 hours earlier but wanted to confirm the intergity of the data.
Last night has us sailing in winds of around 20 knots from aft.. with it still with us this morning giving us nice averages. With us doing about 200NM in the past 24 hours.
The race is starting to look interesting with the boats spread out. The current conditions will help the tailenders a bit, bringing the race closer and more competitive.
During the course of the next 24 hours we should cross the meridian..(GMT time-line) which is an acievement for some aboard who have never done so at sea..
